Sheet Structure

Define the tabs in your workbook. Drag to reorder. Auto-suggested based on model type.

Sheets are pre-populated based on your model type. Add, remove, or reorder as needed. Click the color swatch to change tab color.

    Assumptions & Inputs

Define key assumptions that drive your model. These become hard-coded input cells (blue text) in your Assumptions sheet.

Categories are pre-populated based on model type and industry. Each assumption becomes a labeled input cell. Values are optional — leave blank to specify later.

    Build Sheet Designer

Design detailed calculation chains. Each "build" becomes a sheet with 5-50+ lines that build up to a key output (like Total Revenue or Total Costs). Write formulas referencing line names.

How it works: Create builds on the left, then add line items. Each line can be: Section Header (groups lines visually), Input (hard-coded assumption, blue text), Formula (references other lines by name), Subtotal (sums a section), Output (key result that feeds other sheets, green highlight). Write formulas in plain English referencing other line names.

Select or create a build sheet to start designing calculation chains.

    Sheet Formulas

Define calculation logic for remaining sheets (not covered by Build Sheets). Write formulas in plain English.

Formulas for build sheets are managed in the Build Sheet Designer (previous step). This step covers Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and other summary/output sheets.
